These hand-painted and hand-sculpted earrings are inspired by the incredible Mexican axolotl (Mexican walking fish) found in the lakes near Mexico City. The legend connected to the axolotl is that the Aztec god of fire and lightning, Xolotl (Quetzalcóatl's twin) disguised himself as the axolotl/ salamander to avoid being sacrificed.
